  2. Some great writing tips here. I especially like the one where you advise drawing the readers’ attention in the first paragraph. This is the first thing people read when they visit your site, and if it doesn’t interest them or attempt to answer their question, they would rather search elsewhere than read through a lot of waffles.

    I also like the idea of drawing them in with a personal story, and I know this is something that I need to work on as I know that this technique works well, but I am not very good at it.

Kevin, thank you for posting this great writing instructional!  I have never seen these particular tips before, but I have bookmarked the page to refer to them often.  I especially like the idea to write the article first and then do the introduction, as I have often had to go back and edit an introduction once I’ve discovered that the article goes in a different direction than I had initially anticipated.  I wonder where I can work in the purple gorilla?
