  1. One point that I strongly agree with is the importance of researching and analyzing the competition when selecting niche keywords. Understanding what keywords your competitors are using can help you identify gaps in the market and find opportunities to differentiate yourself.

However, I would caution against solely focusing on niche keywords and neglecting broader, more general keywords that may also be relevant to your business or blog. It is important to strike a balance between niche and general keywords to maximize visibility and attract a wider audience.

How do you suggest balancing the use of niche keywords and general keywords in order to maximize visibility and attract a wider audience?

    • Thanks for your comment. I agree that, in a perfect world, you would write content targeting both niche and general keywords. However, I agree with the idea of “neglecting broader” keywords because they may be relevant to your business or blog. Niche is good, and broad is also good, but there’s no need to try to do both at the same time.

The article is correct, but these are not broad or general keywords. These are niche keywords with a very narrow focus that wouldn’t attract a wide audience and would be less likely to convert. The goal of SEO is not to rank for a keyword like “dog grooming” but rather to focus on specific terms such as dog groomer in Chicago, il.

You don’t need to worry about overusing niche keywords. The search engines will not penalize you for targeting a keyword that is too specific. So long as the content on your page and in your articles is valuable, then it will be indexed by Google and other search engines, regardless of what keywords you use.
